COUNTY FLAGS

Paulding

Elementary school children and people in the community submitted suggestions for the Paulding County flag. The County Commissioners combined themes submitted, and it was adopted in 2002. The flag includes an outline of the county, its name and the year the county was established. The color green represents growth, and gold is for harvest because the major industry is agriculture. Corn and wheat are major crops in Paulding County. The county is named after soldier John Paulding who helped capture British spy, John Andre in the Revolutionary War.
