Biography

Carol-Ann Schindel served one term in the Ohio House representing District 63, which includes Fairport Harbor, Grand River, Leroy Township, Madison, Madison Township, Mentor, North Perry, Painesville, Painesville Township, Perry and Perry Township.

 

She received her Bachelor of Arts from Walsh University and her Masters in Business Administration from John Carroll University. She is a Certified Public Accountant from Leroy Township. While in the Ohio House, Rep. Schindel served on the following committees:

-Ways and Means (vice chair)

-Economic Development and Environment,

-Financial Institutions, Real Estate and Securities, and

-Health.

 

She sponsored two bills during the 127th General Assembly, including House Bill 166 which aimed to create an Office of Internal Auditing within the Ohio Office of Budget and Management. Schindel, a Republican, was defeated by Democrat Mark Schneider in 2008.
