Crane on Third Street

(updated 12-1-2021 by CSRAB)

New Crane Dates: Third St. Entrance Open Dec. 2 and Closed Dec. 6

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) continues construction on the replacement of the Ohio Statehouse cooling towers. A change in the construction schedule means that the entrance to the Ohio Statehouse at Third Street will be open Wednesday and Thursday, December 1 and 2, and it will be closed Monday, December 6.

For the safety of staff and visitors, the Third Street entrance to the Ohio Statehouse will be closed on December 6 instead of December 2. To enter and exit the Statehouse, please use the State Street entrance or the entrances from the underground parking garage.

The crane will lift new cooling tower components to the roof of the Senate Building, and remove pieces of the old cooling tower.

Many variables can affect the timing of a construction project. For more information please contact Phil.Miller@ohiostatehouse.org.
