The ID you seek by completing this application requires that you be registered and are in good standing with the Joint Legislative Ethics Committee (JLEC) and have completed a criminal background investigation with Accurate Information Systems (AIS). If you have not completed your JLEC filings for the current reporting period or have not requested and received the result of your criminal background, PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE WITH THE ID APPLICATION. Your application will be denied and fees paid forfeited.

IF YOUR NAME IS NOT FOUND WHEN SEARCHING FROM THE LINK ABOVE, YOU ARE NOT YET QUALIFIED FOR A STATEHOUSE ID.  CONTACT JLEC DIRECTLY AT 614-728-5100 FOR GUIDANCE ON UPDATING YOUR STATUS .

If you have not verified your standing with JLEC at the link above and are denied an ID for "Incomplete JLEC Filing" your application fee will be forfeited. 

If your JLEC Filings are in order, click the link below to begin the background investigation process with AIS.

Once you receive the result of your background investigation (approx. 48 hours), return to this page and click the "Background Investigation Complete" check box below and complete the application process.
