In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act, the Ohio Statehouse is participating in the Ohio History Connection’s Ohio Open Door program. The Ohio Statehouse will offer surprise tours every day at noon during the week of September 12-16. Each Tour du Jour will have a different theme, and will feature unique locations, artifacts, and activities. The Statehouse has many hidden treasures—take a new tour each day to discover them all!
All Tour du Jour participants will receive a passport booklet, and can earn a prize for taking multiple tours. In addition, visitors can explore the Statehouse Museum and exhibitions, enjoy a walk around the beautiful grounds, and complete a scavenger hunt. This Open Door event is ideal for visitors ages 8 and older.

The season of hauntings is upon us! Get a taste of the Statehouse’s Haunted Tours as you learn about some of our most famous ghostly inhabitants.
