Ohio Statehouse ID Policy

Ohio Statehouse IDs will only be issued to Statehouse employees, State of Ohio agency employees with office space in the Ohio Statehouse or work out of the Statehouse on a daily basis, State of Ohio elected officials, agency directors, OLCA members and JLEC registered lobbyists. All other state employees or visitors to the Ohio Statehouse will be required to pass through security screening at one of the public entrances.

Issuance of an Ohio Statehouse ID requires supervisory approval within the requesting agency. Requests will be approved based on the above criteria and the individual's need to access electronically controlled areas within the Ohio Statehouse on a routine basis, and not merely to avoid passing through security screening.
