Ohio Statehouse IDs will only be issued to Statehouse employees, Employees of State of Ohio Agencies with Offices in the Ohio Statehouse, State of Ohio Elected Officials, Agency Directors, OLCA Press Members and JLEC Registered Lobbyists. All other state employees or visitors to the Ohio Statehouse will be required to pass through security screening at one of the public entrances.
Issuance of an Ohio Statehouse ID requires supervisory approval within the requesting agency. Requests will be approved based on the above criteria and the individuals need to access electronically controlled areas within the Ohio Statehouse on a routine basis, and not merely to avoid passing through security screening.
