Description

The Liberty Tree on Capitol Square was bud-grafted from the last standing Revolutionary-era Liberty Tree. This Tulip Poplar was dedicated here during the 2018 Tour Des Trees to benefit Tree Fund hosted by International Society of Arboriculture. Inside the Ohio Statehouse, see an exhibit about the history of Liberty Trees including some sawn sections of the last standing Revolutionary-era Liberty Tree in Maryland, which was felled in the 1999 Hurricane Floyd.
