In recognition of Presidents’ Day, join the Ohio Statehouse Museum and Education Center staff for a free tour at noon on Friday, February 18, 2022. The public tour of the Ohio Statehouse features the eight presidents of the United States who called Ohio their home.
Did you know the first woman to run for President was from Ohio? Victoria Woodhull, of the Equal Rights Party, ran against U.S. Grant and Horace Greeley in 1872.
At the Ohio Statehouse, eight hearing rooms on the first floor are named for the eight presidents from Ohio.
William Henry Harrison
Ulysses S. Grant
Rutherford B. Hayes
James A. Garfield
Benjamin Harrison
William McKinley
William Howard Taft
Warren G. Harding
The in-person tour is free and open to the public. If you or your organization would like to schedule a group tour, please contact Katie Montgomery at 614-728-3726 or kmontgomery@ohiostatehouse.org.
