STATEHOUSE CALENDAR

On Tuesday, Sept. 13, the Ohio Statehouse Museum Education Center will lead a day of unique, topical tours that highlight the diversity of one of the oldest working capitols in the country. Tours will start in the Map Room at the top of every hour from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Open Doors at the Ohio Statehouse is part of Ohio Open Doors (Sept. 9-18, 2022), an annual statewide event organized by the Ohio History Connection since 2016 in order to promote heritage sites in Ohio through special tours and other programs.

Join us Tuesday, September 13 for a day of specialty tours in conjunction with Ohio Open Doors! 

10:00: Cornerstone to Cupola - Explore the Ohio Statehouse from top to bottom!

11:00: Facebook Live Tour - Join us for a virtual tour: https://www.facebook.com/OhioStatehouseMuseum

12:00: Early Ohio History - Revisit the past with this early Ohio tour.
1:00: Ohio’s Governors - Learn about some of Ohio’s former leaders.
2:00: Lost & Found - In a building this old, things are bound to go missing!
3:00: Art of the Statehouse - Take a tour of the monuments on the Statehouse Grounds (focus will shift to interior art in the case of inclement weather).  

Regular building tours of the Ohio Statehouse will be available at 10:00, 11:00, and 2:00. Self-guided tour brochures are available in the information stand behind the desk.
