Description

The Music of The Women of the Civil War will be presented by Steve and Lisa Ball.  The public program at the Ohio Statehouse is in honor of Women's History Month 2024. 

 

This program shares the contributions made by women of the Civil War time period to some of the most popular tunes.  Learn about women as performers, musicians, activists, and writers. Listen to songs that truly changed the course of American history, and the stories of the women who dedicated their lives to impact the world they lived in at the time.

The performances are tentatively planned to be livestreamed on OhioChannel.org if possible.

 

The 45-minute live performances start at noon, and will be followed by 15 minutes for Q & A.
