Come learn about Ohio government and history at the Ohio Statehouse, all while earning the Citizenship in the Nation merit badge.
The Ohio Statehouse Museum Education Center invites Boy Scouts throughout Ohio to attend Statehouse Merit Badge Day. The program will take place on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Museum Gallery on the ground level of the Ohio Statehouse. The program will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Scouts and parents are encouraged to bring a brown-bag lunch or purchase lunch at the Capitol Cafe located in the Capitol Building.
The program includes a tour of the Ohio Statehouse by Statehouse historians Chris Matheney and Luke Stedke. Chris and Luke will serve as Merit Badge counselors for the program, and following the tour, counseling sessions will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The program is free and open to the public, however space is limited to the first 30 Boy Scouts who register.
