The 150th anniversary of the American Civil War was commemorated with a tree planting and plaque on Capitol Square. Voices of Hawthorne Elementary School sang the National Anthem. 1st Ohio Light Artillery, Battery A fired the cannon. Speaker of the House Batchelder and Senate President Pro Tempore Faber dedicated the tree, along with Sen. Finan and Dir. Carleton of CSRAB and Bob Davis as historical Gov. Dennison. Steve Ball provided period music.
