During the Spring 2025 public tour of the fossils at the Ohio Statehouse, Dale M. Gnidovec, Curator of the OSU Orton Geological Museum, explained how fossils are formed in Columbus Limestone.
Also leading the 2025 tour was Mark E. Peter, author of the booklet, Statehouse Fossils: A Guide to Fossils of the Ohio Capitol. He is a Paleontologist at ODNR Division of Geological Survey.
