Located on Capitol Square near the corner of Third St. and State St., above the garage entrance from Third St.

This plaque was placed in 2016. Staff of Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board (CSRAB) and CSRAB's Executive Director William Carleton planted a Ohio Buckeye tree on Arbor Day, April 29, 2016. The ceremony also included a cannon firing by Carleton on the West Plaza.

The text reads:
