The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board welcomed the one millionth tour visitor to the Ohio Statehouse since the completion of the 1996 Capitol Square restoration. Helen Bonnie from Columbus received an enthusiastic welcome as she walked through the doors of the Ohio Statehouse as the one-millionth tour visitor. Ms. Bonnie was part of a group of 10 senior citizens visiting the Statehouse from Columbus. She was greeted with applause, cheers and confetti poppers from the Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board, staff, State Senator Jim Hughes and State Representative Ted Celeste and other local leaders. The one millionth visitor was presented with a special certificate, a gift basket filled with Ohio products from the Statehouse Museum Shop and an Ohio Flag flown at the Statehouse earlier in the day to commemorate the significant milestone.
