Representative Annie L. Key was a member of the General Assembly since January 2001. She is a native of Cleveland, OH and represented the 11th District which included Newburg Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Brooklyn Heights and parts of East Cleveland. Representative Key was the ranking Democratic member on the Ethics and Elections Committee. She was also a member of the Criminal Justice and Transportation and Public Safety Committees.

 

Representative Key's professional affiliations include membership in the Rainey Institute; Black Women's Political Action Committee; the National Council of Negro Women, Inc.; the NAACP and the Cuyahoga Women's Political Caucus to name a few. Representative Key attended Cleveland State University and Cuyahoga Community College.

 

Prior to coming to the state legislature Representative Key was employed with Ohio Bell and later with AT&T. Representative has 1 daughter, Stephanie and attends Church of Christ on the Boulevard.
