BATTERY A

Educational Resources

Education is the highest goal within the Battery's overall purpose. In educating the public, the Battery uses and stays current with the best living history methodology. When appropriate the Battery addresses all types of learning styles, that is, visual, aural, and tactile. The unit engages the senses in as many ways as possible, and cooperates with teachers when possible to supplement classroom and textbook learning. To this end, the Battery creates and distributes educational materials for teachers and the public.

Read actual letters written by Private A. S. Bloomfield, an historical member of Battery A from 1861 to 1865.
